The anti-finish line

Last week I was reading about the Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting where Warren Buffett announced he’ll be retiring at the end of 2025.

He will be 95 when that happens.

If I ever heard of any person working at 95, I would probably feel gut-punched, perhaps assuming they didn’t have retirement savings and needed to work.

But that’s not what’s happening here.  Surely Warren has a few bucks stuffed away in his mattress to kick back and relax.  Instead, I’m assuming he loves his work so much, he simply never quite wanted to stop.

We should all be so lucky – to love what we do enough that we just want to keep going.  Now THAT is worth celebrating.
